Feed'Em

1.6. 18:00 Game presentation + Artist Talk

For Re-connect Art, Andreas presents Feed’Em, a video game project that explores hidden social media algorithms. During the game, the player monitors the flow of new posts, shares, comments, targeted ads and likes and determines the users to whom the content will be shown and those from whom it will be concealed. Acting as an absolutely powerful social media algorithm, the player becomes an invisible and unreliable narrator of users’ life stories and presenter of their identities, which in turn shape the opinions and attitudes of the users.
